My ride-along is tomorrow, so I’ll try to update once I’ve actually done it. These ride-alongs are usually out of fire stations, so while you should show up early, if your ride-along is in the morning, DO NOT KNOCK UNTIL YOUR SCHEDULED TIME. Most fire stations will have a set time when everybody wakes up and it’s not good to start your ride-along by taking 30 minutes of sleep from the crew. Also, if you want to go the extra mile, try bringing them some food or donuts. Nothing special, just a little thank you for their time and something that is easily shared. Hope this is helpful. Wish me luck.
